  1. The following are the dates that we are swimming over the Christmas period -

Monday 12th December - Last club night. This will be a fun session for the 6pm-7pm groups and they can come in at any time during that hour

Wed 14th, Friday 16th and Sunday 18th sessions for squads as normal.

Monday 19th, Wed 21st, Wed 28th and Fri 30th 2 lanes only between 6-8pm for Junior and Senior performance squads.

Sessions return to normal for all squads on Wednesday 4th January 2017.

First club night back Monday 9th January. (Unfortunately the 2nd January is a Bank holiday and the Leisure centre closes at 5pm)

  2. We had 19 swimmers competing in the above meet and the all swam their hearts out

From the 97 swims, they achieved a total of 74 PB's (76%). They swam away with 18 gold, 16 silver and 18 bronze medals and achieved a total of 45 County qualifying  and 38 County consideration times.

We are so proud of each and every one of them. They swam with pride and passion and were watched every step of the way by their coach Dan. Good on you Dan, you are doing a great job.

  3. As we are hurtling towards the end of the year, it is probably appropriate to remind parents and swimmers that the main focus for many of our competitive swimmers is the County Championships which take place over two weekends in February 2017. Swimmers need to have achieved qualifying times for these Championships, although there are also consideration times published, which means a swimmer will be considered if they have achieved those times. All times must have been achieved at a licensed meet and will therefore be published on the ASA rankings

The qualifying and consideration times have been published on our useful information page but can also be found on the Cornwall County website page under events

If you need to see your swimmer's licensed meet times, follow the this link and type in the family name.

If your swimmer is really close to the qualifying times or still needs to achieve other times, there are only two meets left that can be entered now - The Carn Brea and Helston Invitational meet and the Plymouth Leander Christmas meet. Please look at these and get entries in asap

    Thank you

  4. A total of 21 of our swimmers were selected to compete at the 35th Jersey Tigers Open Meet. This is the first time that we, as a club, have attended this meet and I'm sure it has given those swimmers another level of experience, which is always great for them.

Well done to Allan for arranging this and thank you to the team managers and officials Andrea, James, Matt and Scott.

Looking at the results there appear to have been some very good swims and some very good results against tough competition. There were many, many PB's which is very impressive as this is very new for many of our swimmers. There were also 47 top three placings!

As a team, based on points scored for top six placings, St Austell finished in 6th place overall

Courtney-Lee won the skins events for the senior girls class - well done to her!

If anyone is in possession of an extra silver medal, it may well be Charlie's as he is missing one. If so, could you please bring it up to the club. Thank you

Well done to everyone who took part.

  5. Our last club night is Monday 18th July, although training for the Senior and Junior Performance, Intermediate and Development squads continue until Friday 22nd July, as normal.

We then have the Plymouth Leander Meet over the weekend of 22nd, 23rd and 24th July.

There will be some very limited training over the summer holidays for the Performance and Intermediate squads during August. These sessions will be held on Monday and Friday evenings between 7pm and 9pm. There will be a £3 fee for every session attended please.

Renewal letters will be sent out during August. Please ensure that these are returned asap.

Thank you and have a good summer holiday.
