So, the County Championships are over for another year, but what a brilliant time we had as a club.

Over the two weekends we had a total of 31 swimmers competing, ranging from Elena aged 10yrs competing in her first Championships through to Courtney-Lee aged 20yrs and George aged 18yrs who have competed in many Championships. It is great to see such a mix of ages.

Our swimmers achieved so many PB's and some of them quite staggering ones. You could see how much that pleased many of the swimmers. They also took home a large number of medals - 11 gold, 23 silver and 15 bronze in the age groups, 9 gold, 8 silver and 3 bronze in the Senior Champs and  5 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze in the Junior champs. We also had many, many top six placings.

13 of our swimmers have also secured Regional consideration or qualifying times, which is a terrific achievement.

We are continually being told what happy swimmers we have and how they seem to gel really well as a team. We know this, but it is great to be told it by other teams and officials.

So, we have many tired but happy swimmers this year and Allan is very happy.

We finished 4th again in the Ellis Cup. Allan was happy that we retained the same position as last year, but what was very encouraging was that we were only 6 points behind Carn Brea & Helston. Something to aim for next year?
